Face Washing 101

1. Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser, one that does NOT contain alcohol.
2. Use your fingertips to gently rub in cleanser. Using a washcloth, sponge, or anything other than your fingertips may irritate your skin.
3. Resist the urge to scrub! Scrubbing your skin will cause irritation.
4. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel, do not rub dry.
5. Apply moisturizer to a damp face, this helps lock-in moisture. When applying around the eyes, be gentle.
6. Limit washing to twice a day, and after sweating. Wash once in the morning, and again before bed. Also wash your face after excessive sweating, like right after a gym session.
